How I charge

By the hour, published on this page, so you can work out roughly what a job costs before you text me.

  • $0

    First hour, all in

$100 labor plus the $45 service call.

  • $0

    Every hour after

Billed in 15 minute increments, not rounded up.

  • $0

    A room repainted

Walls, eight foot ceiling. Flat price, not hourly.

Materials are billed at cost. I show you the receipt. I do not mark them up.

Make a list before I arrive. An hour holds more than you think.

Why there is a service call fee

The $45 covers the drive out and the truck being stocked with the fixings most jobs need. It is charged once per visit, not per job, which is the whole argument for saving the list up.

Why I bill in quarter hours

After the first hour I bill in 15 minute increments rather than rounding up to the next full hour. If a job runs seventy minutes you pay for seventy minutes.

Paying

Cash, check or card. I take contactless cards, Apple Pay and digital wallets straight off my phone before I leave, so nobody is chasing an invoice a week later.

Materials

Billed at cost, with the receipt handed to you. I do not mark them up. If you would rather buy the parts yourself, that is completely fine.

If I cannot do it

I tell you on arrival, not after an hour on the clock. If the whole visit turns out to be work I do not take on, there is no charge and I will tell you who to call.

20 percent off the first 10 jobs

I am new here and I have no reviews yet. So the first 10 jobs come with 20 percent off the labor, and all I ask in return is an honest review afterwards. Honest, not glowing. If I get something wrong I would rather it said so.
