Blinds and shades
Blinds are a fifteen minute job right up until the window turns out not to be square. Out here they're usually not square.
What the job involves
- Windows measured before anything is ordered, if you want that done first
- Inside or outside mount, decided at the window rather than in the shop
- Brackets set level so the slats sit square in the opening
- Cord cleats only hold if somebody winds the cord back every time
- With a small child in the house, cordless is the safer buy and I'll say so
- Old blinds taken down and left out with your trash
What is not included
- Motorized blinds that need a new power supply run to the window
- Second story exterior work
- Ordering the blinds for you. You choose them, I fit them.
What it costs
$140 for the first hour. Two or three windows usually fit in it. A whole house is a half day and is priced at the hourly rate.
