TV mounting

A television on the floor leaning against the wall is a television nobody is watching properly. Mounting one is a thirty minute job when it goes well and a very expensive afternoon when it does not.

What the job involves

  • Studs located and the bracket anchored into them, not into drywall alone
  • Height set from where you actually sit, checked before anything is drilled
  • Leveled, then leveled again once the weight is on it
  • Cables run down and out of sight, or into a channel if you want it clean
  • Soundbar or shelf fitted at the same time if you have one

What is not included

  • Running new power outlets inside the wall. That is a licensed trade.
  • Stone, brick or concrete walls without talking first
  • Mounts above a working fireplace where the heat would cook the set

What it costs

Most single mounts finish inside the first hour, so $140 all in. Bring me two televisions and the second one is quicker. Bracket is yours or I collect one at cost.

Examples of this work

  • A 65 inch over the console
  • Two rooms in the same visit
  • Existing bracket, new television

Yours not on the list? Text a photograph and I will tell you either way.
