Services

Twelve things. Each page says what the job involves, what it costs and what is not included.

02 / Limits

What I do, and what I do not

What I do

Honey-do lists, several small jobs in one visit

One service call instead of six. The most sensible way to use me.

TV mounting and cable tidying

Into the studs, leveled twice, cables out of sight.

Doors that will not close, latch or stay put

Usually the slab moving. Usually still a one hour fix.

Drywall holes, dents and cracks, patched and painted

Textured to match, so you cannot find the repair afterwards.

Furniture assembled and leveled

Anchored to the wall as standard. Cardboard flattened into your bin.

Pictures, mirrors and shelves put up level

Laid out on the floor first, so you approve it before I drill.

Blinds and shades measured and fitted

Measured at your window, not guessed from the box.

Grab bars and bathroom safety fittings

Anchored to hold a person going down, not a towel.

Fence pickets, rails, posts and sagging gates

Gates squared and braced so they latch first time.

Interior painting, rooms, trim and doors

Flat price per room. Cut in by hand, two coats.

Gutter cleaning on single story homes

Cleared by hand and flushed. Debris bagged and left in your bin.

Cabinet hardware, hinges and drawer slides

Drilled from a jig, so all forty of them line up.

Best left to someone else

Anything to do with water lines or drains

Texas licenses that trade separately. Call someone who holds that license.

Anything behind the breaker panel

Same reason. It is a licensed trade and I am not it.

Air conditioning and heating

Licensed trade. Not my lane.

Gas, of any kind

Not worth anybody's risk. Call the utility or a licensed trade.

Roofs

I do not go up there. Gutters on a single story house are as high as I work.

Second story ladder work

One man, no spotter. The answer is no.

Lock rekeying

Texas licenses locksmiths and I do not hold that license. A locksmith also does it faster than I would.

Appliance installation

Usually ties into water, gas or a dedicated circuit. See above.

Remodels and additions

That is a general contractor and a permit. Different job entirely.

Hauling and trash removal

I flatten the cardboard and bag the debris and it goes in your bin. It does not leave in my truck.

House cleaning

Not what I do.

Landscaping and tree work

Not what I do.

Anything over about 75 pounds on my own

I would rather tell you that now than drop it on your floor.
