Gig Line

Terms

Effective 26 August 2026

The terms this business works under. Written plainly, because terms nobody can read protect nobody.

What this website is

This site describes the handyman services offered by Horizon Realty Developments LLC, doing business as Gig Line, out of Magnolia, Texas. Using it means you accept these terms.

Sending the form is not a booking

Filling in the form, or sending a text, starts a conversation. It does not create a contract, does not reserve a date and does not oblige either side to anything. Work is agreed only when a price and a date have been confirmed directly between you and the business.

Prices

The rates published on this site are the real rates and are charged as written. The first hour is billed at the published rate and includes the service call. Time after the first hour is billed in fifteen minute increments rather than rounded up to the next hour. Locations past the stated drive time carry the travel charge shown on that town's page.

Painting a room is quoted as a flat price rather than by the hour, at the figure published on the pricing page.

Materials are charged at what they cost, with the receipt shown, and are not marked up. You are welcome to buy the materials yourself instead.

A published rate is not a fixed quote for your particular job. What a job actually costs depends on what is found on arrival. If the work turns out to be larger than described, you will be told before it is started, not afterwards.

What is not offered

This is a handyman service. It does not hold a state trade license and does not claim one. Work that Texas requires a state-licensed trade to perform is refused and referred out, every time, without an attempt being made first.

The services page lists in plain terms what is done and what is not. That list is part of these terms. Work outside it will not be quoted or carried out.

Access to the property

You are responsible for making sure the work area can be reached at the agreed time, that pets are secured, and that anything fragile has been moved out of the way. If the property cannot be accessed at the agreed time, the visit may be charged.

Scheduling and cancellation

Cancel or move a visit with a day's notice and there is no charge. Things come up.

Inside twenty four hours, or if nobody is there when I arrive, the service call is charged. That is the drive, and the slot somebody else could have had. It is not a penalty and it is not a percentage of the job.

Payment

Payment is due in full when the work is finished, not thirty days later.

Cash, check or card. I take contactless cards, Apple Pay and digital wallets straight off my phone at your door, so there is no chasing an invoice later.

Materials over five hundred dollars are paid for up front, because I am not floating that. Anything under it goes on the final bill at cost, with the receipt.

Workmanship

My labor is guaranteed for one year. If something I did comes loose, fails, or was not done right, I come back and fix it and you pay nothing.

That is the same guarantee the national outfits give, from somebody with no crew and no call center.

What it does not cover is the house itself moving. Slabs shift here with the seasons, and a door I adjusted in August can start catching again in February. That is the ground under the house, not the work. I will always come and look, and I will tell you straight which one it is.

Materials are covered by whatever the manufacturer offers, which is between you and them. Materials you supplied yourself, and faults that were already in the property before I arrived, are not covered.

Photographs of finished work

Photographs of completed work are sometimes taken as a record and may be shown on this site. Nothing identifying you, your address or the inside of your home beyond the work itself is published, and you can say no at any time, before or after, and it will be removed.

Text messages

The quickest way to reach this business is by text, and replies come by text. Standard message and data rates from your carrier apply. This business does not run a marketing text program and will not add you to one.

Limits on responsibility

Reasonable care is taken on every job. Responsibility is accepted for damage caused directly by the work carried out. Responsibility is not accepted for faults that already existed, for problems arising from how the property was built or previously repaired, or for materials that you supplied.

Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under Texas consumer protection law, including the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Act. Where these terms and that law disagree, that law wins.

Accuracy of this site

The service descriptions, drive times and area information here are kept accurate and are updated when they change. They are a guide to what is offered, not a guarantee of availability on a given day.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Where a dispute is filed is decided by Texas venue law rather than by these terms, so nothing here limits the county in which you may bring a claim.

Changes

These terms may be updated, and the date at the top changes when they are. This version is effective 26 August 2026.
